Want to live in Granite Bay? Now is the time to buy!
2 years ago you could not get a home in Granite Bay California for under $500K. But now your wish has come true. Homes are affordable in this affluent area that sits just north of Sacramento.
The unincorporated Placer County community of Granite Bay has a population of about 20,000 residents and covers an area of approximately 25 square miles. It is situated on the north shore of Folsom Lake about 25 miles northeast of Sacramento on the eastern edge of the Sacramento Valley at the base of the Sierra foothills.

Typically, summers are hot and dry, while winters are cool and rainy. Summers average high temperatures are about 95 degrees but with the usual cooling evening breezes average summer lows drop to about 60 degrees. Average temperatures in the winter range from highs of about 54 to lows near 40 degrees with an occasional frost. Annual rainfall averages near 25 inches per season, falling predominantly in the winter months. Snow falls lightly every year or two.
The community boasts of a very high quality of life due to its great location, first rate schools, numerous churches, a low crime rate and excellent recreation opportunities. The community is home to some of the Sacramento areas finest, including players from the Sacramento Kings and Hollywood starlets. Some of the most exclusive homes in the area are built in Granite Bay.
Because of its close proximity to Folsom Lake, Granite Bay residents also enjoy all of the advantages the lake has to offer. There is a 32-mile long bicycle path that connects with many area parks. Fishing offers trout, catfish, bass and perch. Kayaking, sailing, water-skiing, and other boating activities are popular at Folsom Lake along with camping, picnics and swimming.
Residents can hit a round of golf, play tennis, or ride the trails. Granite Bay is also home to three equestrian centers and several dozen horse stables. Because of the extensive horse trails along the shore of Folsom Lake State Recreation Area (particularly the Pioneer Express Trail), and the semi-rural lifestyle with wealthy homeowners, there are hundreds of horses within Granite Bay.
With just a short commute to major employment areas in Roseville, Rancho Cordova, Sacramento, and El Dorado Hills, Granite Bay provides luxury living with many conveniences. Whether you want to enjoy a day at the lake or prefer shopping, theater or dining out, Granite Bay is an ideal location for every lifestyle.
