I just found out I have floor duty that day and then my husband's christmas party that night so it looks like I'm going to miss it this year. I may sneak over on my lunch break though.

Thank you for your comments.

Christmas Markets are very popular all over Germany and Austria - they have been for several centuries. They spring up in every city, town and village during the season of Advent.

Weihnachtsmarkt or Kristkindl Markt as they are called are for shopping as well as communing with neighbors and friends. The Tomball Sister City Organization wants to bring this lovely traditional style Christmas shopping experience to you. We hope you will come out and spend a day with us celebrating the Christmas spirit with your friends and family!

THIS JUST IN: Experience the German Christmas Market with a taste of real German Gluhwein. If you've never tried it, you should! There's nothing else like it in the world!  It is traditional in Germany to have warm mulled wine or dark beer at Christmas time.

Kristkindl means Christ Child. Germans like to keep the real reason for the season foremost in their minds. Christ gave man the ultimate gift, so man gives gifts at Christmas to celebrate Christ's life.

The Tomball German Christmas Market is sponsored by The Tomball Sister City Organization www.tomballsistercity.org or www.myspace.com/tgchristmas
