When we hear good news these days, we need to proclaim it on page one instead of pulling a media end around by placing it in the social section on page 23...
Earlier this morning I wrote a post that dealt with a current problem I am experiencing...the post was a kind of 'LONG TWITTER'...
But the post was prompted by the annual event in Pennsylvania of getting your automobile State Inspected once a year...my month is November...and...
Thinking it would only need tires rotated, oil and filter changed, and emissions inspection, I opted to take it to my local friendly tire and service store instead of the Buick dealer conveniently located near my office! After all, it only has around 47,890 miles...
Well the service advisor at the tire store called to inform me that my car would need some substantial 'warranty type' work to pass inspection...keeping it simple, some front end suspension work on the hubs and tie rods...and reminding me that, unless I got an extended warranty, the standard GM warranty was 3 years 36,000 miles, this work would not be covered and amounted to over a thousand dollars.......OUCH...!
Just to be safe, I called my old reliable dealer service department to be sure of the warranty information...I rarely ever purchase those extended warranty things they offer at time of purchase...HOWEVER...
The service advisor at Bean's Buick Pontiac near my office in Limerick, Pa, checked the computer service records for my vehicle and informed me that since I purchased the vehicle used, and since it was a CERTIFIED USED vehicle at a GM dealer, the factory warranty was extended automatically to 53,000 miles and is in effect until April of 2009...BINGO...!
Heck, those brake pads I'll end up replacing and paying for out of my own pocket, will bring a big smile to my face...money well spent...!!!
Yes, Virginia, there IS a God...!!!

That's outstanding news for you Fran! Lord knows your living right! Isn't it a great feeling when things just seem to work IN your favor. Keep that karma flowing!
