Notices of default, the first step in foreclosures, fell to around 1,100 for October 2008, about the same level as September. But those numbers are waaaaaaaaaaaay down from August. With sales up significantly and prices down significantly, about 37% of San Diego households making the median family income can now afford a median-priced home, up from a mere 7% just a couple of years ago. I have two listings and five buyers under contract right now, and I think it's going to be even better in the new year.
