Home prices still appreciating in Huntsville and Decatur Alabama.

Huntsville Alabama ranked number 12th and Decatur Alabama ranked 10th out of 292 metropolitan areas tracked by the FHFA based upon 1 year increase in home prices. It is my opinion this is because these areas did not see the housing bubble seen by many other metro areas.

Huntsville Alabama

Ranking: 12th

3Q 2008 Growth: 0.51

1 Year Growth: 4.12

5 Year Growth: 31.51

Decatur Alabama:

Ranking: 10th

3Q 2008 Growth: -.48

1 Year Growth: 4.21

5 Year Growth: 22.97
