Thanksgiving Turkey

That special time of year has arrived!

THANKSGIVING

The wonderful aroma of pies and cakes baking in the oven

wafts through the room as the many cooks around the world

get one step ahead of the big day tomorrow!

Hurray it is TURKEY DAY!

My apologies to all the turkeys in the world

Sorry guys it is what it is!

Thanksgiving Feast

Our mouth starts to water as we think of the feast that will be set before us!

Roasted Turkey and Dressing, Giblet Gravy, Cranberry Sauce,

A large juicy baked ham too,

Hot Steaming Bowls of fresh cooked vegetables and casseroles galore,

Salads, slaw, fruit bowls and hot buttered rolls on the side,

Coconut cake and pecan and sweet potato pie!

MMMMMMMMMM......I can hardly wait!

A time for family and friends to gather together and give thanks

for the many blessings that have been bestowed upon us!

And we say our blessings and enjoy the great meal as we share all of our stories from the preceding year.

It is a very special time as our memories are jogged

and all the reasons for thankfulness remind us of a great life.

And you think to yourself.....maybe just one more piece of pie!

Napping

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

Debbie- I love the turkey apology.  TOO FUNNY.  Have a great Thanksgiving, don't eat too much.  Oh and I love the houses.  I'm partial to River Oaks Drive- that was the name of the street where I grew up.

Debbie--We just returned from Mother's for Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday evening.  The food was delish and I do mean delish!  I skipped the desert table and had an extra helping of the chicken and dressing.  Mom's is the best!  Isn't it funny that we all think our Mom's dressing is the best?  We laughed, prayed and had a feast, it was a very special evening.  Tomorrow we go to my husband's family, it will be equally exciting!
