I agree stager is a great weapon to move a home that is sitting in the market for a long time, great posts.

Thank you Barbara and Paul.  I sure hope that there is someone in your area that can help you.  Even if it is Staged just for the pictures and the first Open house, it is worth it!

Lori - You have a wonderful writing style that is simple yet effective.  I'm putting together my Realtor packages and would love to include a couple of your points in my material.  Would you mind my "poaching" - don't say that too loud here in Idaho (wink wink).

I didn't see this...it was an old post but I'm glad Lonnie picked it up so I could become aware of it.  Lori you are one of the visionaries in the industry.  It is a pleasaure to get to know you through AR.

I'm following Terrylynn again ;) ..... I somehow missed this one too! So glad it came back to "life"- that's one of the benefits of blogging and someone takes the time to go back and read your old posts or someone may have book marked it and refers another to go check it out.

This is a prime example of exactly what is necessary to show  & tell clients the difference GOOD staging makes!

Great job LKP!

Very well said and displayed!  I think Realtors are seeing the benefits of working with home stagers to ensure their lsitings are marketed to the best of their ability.

Well thank you everyone.  Yes, I wrote this a long time ago.. I don't think I have that bedspread anymore.  That home was REALLY needing some help and the staging was done as a bene for a Broker's tour.  Feel free to use the info Lonnie. I do believe that I have updated this info on my Realtor page on my website.... which I am not too happy with the hosting at this time ;)

I can't believe 1500+ hits and only 9 comments!  Wow...you are popular and non controversial in this one.  Good job.  T

Hey Terrylynn ;)  I think when I did it, it was meant just to be informational.  But controversial does get the comments doesn't it? I am learning ;)

Anyone have any statistics on how staging affects the sales time?

01/05/2008 07:45 PM by Mark Hicken (Advantage Home Solutions LLC)

Meaning 1500 read it and only 9 comments, so good info, but no comments (controversy).  Info is a good thing.  me

Hi Mark... thanks for stopping by.  I could only give you stats for what I have done in my area. We are working on National stats in our SIF group.  Hopefully we can have something for you soon.

I staged three vacant homes this past quarter.  Two of them have sold in less than 3 months!  We also were competing with over 25 other homes in the neighborhood!  Staged homes sell faster and for more of asking price because it will stand out among the competition.

Thanks Laura, that's my general sense and as an investor, I'm very attuned to holding costs.  I thinking of staging a vacant house I have that I want to sell quickly and am leaning toward it given the info I'm finding here.  Thanks.
