Did you know that there are many descendants of the Mayflower living today, but very few people know it?

Here are some of the people who have had their genealogy/blood lineage traced back to the passengers who sailed on that historic journey almost 400 years ago:

  • Alec Baldwin
  • Dick Van Dyke
  • Sarah Palin
  • Hugh Hefner
  • Richard Gere
  • Clint Eastwood
  • George Bush
  • Barbara Bush

Then there are people who have died such as:

  •  Humphrey Bogart   and
  •  Marilyn Monroe

My mother-in-law has traced the the blood lineage of her ancestors and has also discovered that she too is a descendant of the Mayflower... Which makes my husband and children descendants as well.  Their blood lineage is traced to the passenger named William Bradford.

My children even belong to an organization called The Mayflower Society

Hmm, that's interesting information. It's always fun to trace your history back and to find out who is in your lineage. I, too, have pioneer ancestors. Thanksgiving is always a special day to remember those who have come before us and be thankful for what we have and where we are at now.

Thanks for sharing and have a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Kind Regards, Nicole Weidauer

VERY COOL!! I love history. I wonder what those original folks who came over on the Mayflower would think about our country today. Hmmmmm...food for thought. Happy Thanksgiving, my friend! GBU~

That is very interesting about the lineage and descendants. My family has traced our family tree as well, and it really is interesting who we are related to.

BTW - I want to wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.

Hi Marlene

That certainly a long list of people we know, but I have to tell I didn't know that their blood dated back to the Mayflower.

Good luck and success
