Thanksgiving Reflection on Activerain in Black & White

There is so much to be thankful for this year, it is hard to know where to start. So grab a cup of coffee and watch this Smilebox I made for all my Activerain friends here.

Last year, I set a goal to meet 100 members of Activerain in person. Well, I far succeeded that goal. It was some of the highlights of the year for me to meet people at Inman Connect, Re-Bar Camp, KW Family Reunion and NAR in Orlando.

I wonder if Jon Washburn the founder of Activeran has any clue what he created here?

The relationships and friendships are fantastic.

When you meet people there is such a connection, it is as if they were old college friends you hadn't see in years. If I have ommitted one, I apologize as there was no way to include everyone, and some when the show were missing were not there, as I must have not brought them in.

Do your best to put back "conference money"in 2009. It will be so worth it to connect with computer friends face to face. Almost everyone included I have met face to face, or on the phone or connected in a meaningful way through in our blogs.

Missy - That was cool, and I like your goal, it's a good one. I think that I msy decide to make my goal of 2008 to invite 50 realtors to active rain, and coach them all. What do you think?

That was great, this is truly a special place, I never thought of it as a place to make friends... Now I cant imagine not being part of the rain!

WOW!!!!!!! Speechless!!! So many emotions, so little time! You can't invest the time we do to this endeavor called Active Rain and not become attached to all the great people on this network, including the many faces in your smilebox!!! If anyone on Active Rain ever comes through PA without calling, stopping by, and hugging...I'll smack them down!!! LOL

Missy--Wow! I just kept thinking it would end but it kept going and going. So many of my AR connections are include in your portfolio of photos. How wonderful for you to have met so many. I have only met a few...mostly in MN but did get to meet Cyndee and Susie on vacation. AR really has changed so many lives. As I have told you before, I cannot think of Ann Arbor without thinking of you! :) Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

You've got some of real estate and Active Rains brightest. I miss some of them, too. I hope you email them a link.

Missy - I look forward to meeting you some day. I'm hoping to get out there this year. I got invited to just about everything by someone, but I just couldn't pull it off yet. I can't wait to meet up and actually see half the people I picture only as avatars.

Meet 100 in person, WOW! ! ! I think you have motivated me. I'm going to shoot for 50 in 2009. I think if I can make a few RE Bar Camps, RE Blog World, and the NAR convention I ought to be able to get at least half of those. I'm sure that you did a lot, if not all of those things but what else did you do to put yourself in front of these people?

Happy Thanksgiving! What a fantastic slideshow. Smilebox looks like a great tool. I've had the opportunity to meet some wonderful AR folks in the past year and a half at local gatherings, but your presentation really makes me want to attend an East Coast or Midwest event. I'd better amend my business plan and budget for 2009 to make it happen.

I LOVED looking at all the photos and would really like to meet many of the people on the show. There are so many that we feel as if we already know from the wonderful connections we have made over the past couple years.

Wow Missy...must be redundant at this point. I so enjoyed this beautiful project you have done. It very profound and moving. Thanks for the view into so many great experiences and relationships you have by attending the conferences. I do hope to go some day and meet everyone. It would be such a treat....and something to make a production of! Thanks for the work on this! Inspiring to say the least!
