Hello to you all! I've been beating my head against the desk trying to figure out how to get R.E.O. business. I've gone door knocking, e-mailing and I went as far as temp working with several escrow companies to gain experience and also learn what they are doing right and wrong. I'd like to take this momment to applaud the escrow individuals working their tails off to meet the demand.  Wish I could figure out a way to ease some of that flow onto me so I can help at my own office.

While I applaud most, some are down right lazy. Some officers rely on their assistants to do all the work, while others give it all to themselves and bitch that their assistant isn't helping. I am personally shocked at what these "escrow officers" are doing!! Putting their phones on Do Not Disturb. While they "work".  I wonder how bad their clients are feeling, knowing there is nothing they can do other then leave e-mails and voice messages; then 3 days later get call backs. THAT'S APPALLING! I understand that there are a lot of files, and maybe not a lot of man power, but its all about the service and the ability to get the job done! Yes, some brokers, agents, and whatnot are calling you for "stupid" questions, but these questions are what we need to answer. Seriously answer your damn phone!!!! While I was temping there I was able to answer calls, work files quickly, accurately and maintain professionalism to the clients. It is easy to achieve and orginization is key.

I don't know. My owner was thinking about shutting down our office before I went out and pulled everything I had and gave it to him to keep our doors open. I may of shot myself in the foot, but I believe in my work, I believe in my company and I believe that something good will come out of this. I just wish some R.E.O. company would give me a shot.

P.S. Wonder how these officers normal clients are being treated? Perhaps I should start knocking on realtor and broker doors again.
