Why wait for one day a year to give thanks? Don't be a turkey.
I've got "My Gratitude List" posted right in front of my computer where I can see it everyday and reflect on it each and every day.
My Gratitude List
Here's what I am grateful for:
- God's presence in my life.
- Being born and raised in the United State of America
- My freedom and the men and women who fight to maintain it.
- My education; my parents who treasured and paid for it; and the teachers who taught it.
- My health and the privileges it affords me.
- My wonderful wife who surrounds me with beauty, support, loyalty, and admiration every day and enjoys our mutual journey of growth.
- My home with gives me stability and security.
- My quest for learning and knowledge about life and the world.
- My opportunities which abound for the taking.
- My family and friends who care about me.
- My clients who trust me.
- My unique and exquisite experiences and memories.
Tomorrow is another day to look back upon the past year and express thanks for the many blessings.
Thank you to everyone who's been a part of my life this year! You are greatly appreciated.
Thanks & please pass the white meat, stuffing and gravy...

Brian, it is true, we need to be grateful everyday. It justs helps to have that one day set aside to remember to do so. Such a pleasure to get to meet you this year.
Hi Brian
You have an outstanding gratitude list, may 2009 be everything you want it to be.
Good luck and success.

Excellent and true post, Brian. Everyday that you open your eyes is a day to be thankful for. So much in this life is taken for granted. We need to stop and be thankful.
I love how you are posting this so you can reflect on it each day! So easy to get caught up in the mundane and forget what we have... What a great idea to do that!
Happy Thanksgiving Brian....that is an excellent gratitude list and you are absoulutely right..we all need one for the entire year.

Hi Brian,
Thank you for an excellent reminder. I'm going to borrow your idea, plus pass it along to my family and friends. We should all have an attitude of gratitude.
Now please pass the dark meat and the cranberry sauce. :)
Cordially,
Bruce
Happy Thanksgiving! It's been a long day and I'm looking forward to sleeping!
Brian - Happy Thanksgiving! What a great reminder. Every day is a good day to reflect on our blessings.
Brian, hope you're having a great Thanksgiving! Geeze, I'm stuffed!
Brian... Not only such a wonderful list, but that we should be thankful more than just on Thanksgiving... but question, you didn't have Active Rain on your list..... ;o(
Hey, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.... even though I am late to the party.
Brian: Great list. But... if I were you... I'd re-write it... changing the order to put your wife either in first place... or at the very worst... in second place. Just a word to the wise... LOL.
Boy you sure did sum that up in a nutshell! And you are so right....why wait until one day in the year...let's be thankful year long!
Thanks for some serious Thankfulness!
Debbie
Brian-What a great list. Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving.
Brian,
It sure is much easier to have the good happen when you remember daily to be happy for the good you already have.
Brian,
Very well said sir with all of your priorities in the right order. Well maybe the turkey and dressing could have moved up a little.. ;-)
Your post is a great reminder of what is truly important. Thanks Brian!
Great post. We must all count our blessings each and every day. We have a unique opportunity to shape and change the world.
Brian
Congrats on the well deserved feature...i love the word gratitude...we earn nothing but are blessed with an endless list...great job!
Brian - Thanks for reminding us of the things many take for granted. A few months back I sat down and wrote a list that looks much like yours. In the midst of a self-centered and busy world, it does us well to stop & reflect upon our many blessings. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
You are right. Just because Thanksgiving is over does not mean we should quit be thankful each and every day. Thanks for sharing.
