Delhi TX has always been a strong farm and ranch community,  located about half way between Lockhart in Caldwell County and Bastrop in Bastrop County -  just past the blinking lights at the corner of Highways 304 and 713.  In it's hay day Delhi was much bigger than the church, community center and fire house that are there now.  The  local commerce  has since  succumbed to the amenities that the larger city stores have to offer,  especially since you can hop in your hybrid SUV and run to town in less than 20 minutes versus a half day horse and wagon trip!  There are beautiful farm and ranch properties in the area that are perfect for summer getaways or year round living.
