At this time of year, I am usually left up here in Ohio, while the rest of the family head down to Florida.  I end up over at a step-relatives home.  In the past, I believe I always felt a little blue and left out, but this year is different.

I am on my way to 4 mile turkey trot and later, I cannot wait to head over to my step aunt and uncles later and the obligatory phone call to the south.

Farley My interpretation of, "Dance like no one is watching"... :)

I hope all of you are having a wonderful holiday and make sure to thank your host!  Also, make sure to pass out hugs like they're business cards!

And even though things are quite difficult right now, both in business and beyond, I am going to watch football, eat delicious turkey and have 2 pieces of pie today!

Happy Thanksgiving, BTW not sure what a turkey trot is... but if it ends the blues, good for you.

I've spent many a year an ocean away from family and it is difficult to say the least.  You are making your own traditions and memories and I admire your line about giving out hugs like business cards!!!  There is family we're born into and 'families' we become a part of.  Both are good but not always at the same time!  :0)

Happy Thanksgiving!  Our gathering was small for the first time in many years, but quiet was good!  As for the SNL photo: I used to know a woman who was a Swayze Superfan, and her hubby looked like Farley.  The hubby went to a professional photographer, after this skit came out, and dressed in an outfit like that and had his portrait taken...That's Love....LOL

Cheryl,

WOW... Ummmm, yeah, love is definitely a word for that... I think I would bust a spleen even being a neighbor to a guy who looked like Farley...

Im happy to hear your thanksgiving was good.  Mine was small as well, but another silver lining is MORE LEFTOVERS!!!!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and didn't pull anything.  We have a Turkey Trot here and I have never been a runner or a fan of the cold, but it always seems like everyone who participates has a really good time so I may participate in the local one next year.  Trotting sounds easy enough.  =)

lol...

Trotting is indeed easy and fun, and some folks try to win and others enjoy the scenery... I fall somewhere in between.
