Thankful Thanksgiving

By
Managing Real Estate Broker with Windermere Peninsula Properties

I have seen people this year who are having a rough time. It is true, some of our fellow citizens, and maybe even some of us, are going through some really hard times. I read a blog a few minutes ago that inspired me to write this one. Not that any of you felt this way, but when approached with a smile, and offered to have a Happy Thanksgiving, some people are just grumbling.

We are all so blessed. I want to get rid of credit card debt, I want my kids to clean their room, and I would like my grandma and Grandpa, who are now gone- home for the holidays, and so much more. But Thanks Giving is not a wish list. It is being grateful for what you have right now. If you look around you will always find someone with less and someone with more. Stop. Just take a deep breath, and be thankful for what you have right here and right now. Happy Thanksgiving!-Dinah Lee

Dinah,

Very well said - not a wish list. We all have so many things to be thankful for if we focused on or became conscious of them. Happy Thanksgiving. :)

It is not hard to find something or many things to be thankful for, as you say. If you are lucky enough to be around loved ones today, if you are breathing and upright, many are not so fortunate. Every day is a blessing from above, happy thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving.  Eat a lot of turkey and other fattening things and watch some football.

So true. I wish I could be in silk undies having my dinner served by my staff. I am thankful that I have a roof and food.

I give thanks throughout the year, as well as spreading the Christmas spirit throughout the year, and not the kind of Christmas spirit that occurs between Black Friday and Christmas. That's just commercial crap.

Dinah, it's true we could always want more than we have.  The key is being happy with what we have -- and being grateful!
