She had it all

I love music and the other day I pulled out an old CD that I had not listened to in years. On that CD was a song by Simply Red called "You've Got It". Everyone that has truly been in love with that one special person has a song that says it all about that one person and that relationship. It seems that when we find that special person there is nothing else in the world that can replace how that person makes us feel. Sometimes we try to fight the feeling and sometimes we don't treat that special person the way we should because of fear of truly needing somone that much.

I have been playing this song over and over since I re-discovered the CD and it says it all about that one person I had in my life that was taken away way too early over 20 years ago. I can talk about it now without crying and can listen to songs like this and remember all that was good about this wonderful woman because "She had it all".

Songs do have meaning when it is associated with someone we care or cared about deeply. Those memories are with you always and though the pain diminished..the love is still there.

George - there are some things that time can temper, but not erase. Your feelings for this woman were obviously very sincere and deep, and to experience that kind of loss ... well, it hurts for a long, long time.

That song is a fitting tribute and I'm sure she is watching over you every day and wishes only happiness and good things for you.

Hi George..Nice Post, I lost my Best friend when I was 19...Certain events trigger our memories and we know where were we were when that event happened, in your case a song reminds you of your Friend and Love for her. It's nice that you can have pleasant thoughts about her when you hear this song....:O)

How great that you had the opportunity in life to find a love so strong, not everyone is as fortunate! Some people go through life never knowing that true bond. Being able to reminisce about the great times you shared, is a beautiful thing! It's funny how songs can take us back to a special place in time!
