I trust you all had a blessed and abundant Thanksgiving? We sure did. Plenty of food, good friends and lots and lots of Turkey (Dennis).

Happy Thanksgiving

We ate dinner around 1pm and then lamented the over stuffing. After the dishes were done I snuggled up with my son and enjoyed a guilt free nap.

5 hours later I was a little peckish. Time for a Turkey sandwich.

Tomorrow will be left overs (lots of potatoes too) and more Turkey. Still there will be the bones to make a tasty Turkey Stew.

I love Thanksgiving Turkey.

We usually have two more days of Turkey leftovers, then I take out all the turkey meat and make 2 casseroles of Turkey Tetrazzini.  One we eat for maybe three days and the other one I freeze for later on.  Happy Thanksgiving.

Ellie, sounds like you figured out how to cook the thing!  I don't have the turkey leftovers, and I'm thinking about getting one on sale tomorrow (they go on sale) and cooking it!  Love those leftovers!

Hope you had a wonderful day!

I am glad you had a good day today. A little over stuffing hopefully doesn't hurt too bad.

I tried something new this year.  We had herb roasted boneless turkey breast for dinner.  I couldn't find it boneless so I boned my own and have the bones steaming away in the slow cooker for soup.  Consequently there aren't many leftovers in my house!!  Hurray!!

This was a very rare Thanksgiving in that I wasn't hosting it!  So, I have no leftovers, unfortunately ~ and I am really missing them!  I think I might go ahead and make our own little Thanksgiving feast this Sunday, just so that I can enjoy the leftovers for a few days!

Today the rest of it can go into the freezer for a casserole dinner at some other time....

I never get tired of turkey or the holidays. I love the smell of food in the oven and having family around.

I saw on Aol or Yahoo that the turkey stays good for three days in the refrigerator and the gravy stays even less.

This can't be right.

I remember eating turkey sandwiches for a week after thanksgiving for a week!

Since we travel for all the holidays...we NEVER get leftovers!  I miss a turkey sandwich with a thick layer of Miracle Whip!!  Maybe I will have to fix a turkey in July so we can really enjoy it...for several days!
