Post Traumatic Turkey Syndrome

By
Real Estate Agent with Jameson Sotheby's International Realty

Okay... we had a small turkey-day, yesterday.  Tryptophan-induced comas, yes, but only a handful of people.  Fewer dishes to wash, but not less food to eat.

And yet, after the meal was over, and we were cleaning up... my wife discovered that the stuffing was still in the fridge.  She hadn't made her patented (well, actually Rachel Ray's patented) Stuffin' Muffins (Stuffing put into a muffin tin, then you can eat stuffing like an apple.... ain't technology grand?).

So we only had squash, mashed potatoes, green beans almondine, turkey, home-made cranberry sauce, two kinds of pie (pumpking and chocolate)... and nobody even noticed that the stuffing was missing. (of course, who could actually "move" from their chair?)

So this morning, my wife baked the stuffin' muffins... the house smells great, and they'll make a wonderful lunch treat! (if I wait that long) :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Alan.. I smell closing gifts..Stuffin' Muffins for all the co-workers. I sent my Family home with Doggy bags, we would have to eat 11 pounds of turkey before it went bad, so we make people take a care package when they leave.

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well, there is always so much to do with the final preparations with the meal, I can see how something can get overlooked. Btu you got to enjoy another day - and those sound really good!

Left-overs-----one of the great side benifits of Thansgiving and a great way to extend the day and what it means.

Home is where the hearth is.

Hmmm... stuffin' muffins as co-workers gifts... hadn't considered that Steve.

Sharon, it's not the first time my wife has left food in the oven, microwave, refrigerator...and I agree... it usually means "too much food".

Left overs are a way of life, Charles. mmmmm

Lourdes, is does happen easily... but it's also sooooo funny.

I make the most delicious stuffing it was my Grandmas recipe. I bet it would be killer in muffin tins, thanks for the idea...KW

Stuffin muffins are good anytime, and they also go well with honey.

Home is where the hearth is.

I can't really take credit for the idea, Kelly, it was a Rachel Ray recipe that my wife followed.... but Russel, I'm gonna have to try them with "honey" now...  woo hoo!
