How to overcome Evil in Your Life…..

 

Make no mistake, evil does exist!

 

 

⁸ Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. ⁹ Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your fellow believers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

    ¹⁰ And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. ¹¹ To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.  1 Peter 5:8-11 TNIV

 

 

Yesterday, Thanksgiving, my son Matt called from Arizona where he is attending ASU and living with his Dad and step-mother. Matt was on the verge of tears because he had accidentally ruined one of the dishes his step-Mom had prepared for their friends that were coming over for dinner. She began screaming all kinds of curses at him and yelling at him as if he had just murdered her first born child.

 

 

When he called me clearly very shaken we discussed that evil does exist. And that he had the power to overcome that evil with his good. So I suggested that he go and volunteer at a homeless shelter or go visit a nursing home and sit and spend time with someone who would appreciate his company. This would be his was of overcoming her evil with good.
