Place Widgets Carefully-Thanks Brad Andersohn-It's Already Paying Off!

My mission is to grow my sphere of influence...to improve SEO...and provide quality content and rather than mass produce....I've been supplementing with reading... slowly I am catching up on some reading...reading sources that are easy to understand...reading sources that have been available to me for a very long time...

Right Here on The Rain!

Wednesday I was on the phone with Brad Andersohn in the quest to get my globe up and running :) It is..I'm happy to report it is now an approved widget! As he was viewing my sidebar..he asked if he could give me a suggestion..he told me to rearrange my sidebar just a little and place my subscribe button right underneath my contact information. I did it immediately.

Do you think it matters? It certainly does!

By making that simple change...which was done later in the evening of the 26th my stat's on Thanksgiving Day.....

While it might not be a lot..it sure is growing and by making it easily accessible to people..you have a better shot with people subscribing to you. I like the fact that people can read me from their email! If you would like to provide the same courtesy for your readers...join feedburner today!

One thing you should think about Google just recently acquired feedburner...hmmm..do you think it might affect SEO?

After meeting Brad personally..I started reading everything he writes..I even saw an awesome list of all the social networks he belongs to..and shared it with associates in our company. And if you want to see some incredible widgets...just check out Brad's stuff.

A few months ago, i would have said 'what's a widget?' so I feel I've come a long way, but I still have tons of work to do! Thnaks fo rthe links to his cool tools!

Thank you ma'am for the helpful information. I may have to go back and take a real close look at the widgets I have on my sidebar and cut a few out too. HMMM, maybe I should call Brad for some help.

Midori, your globe does rock ! And Brad's blog is a phenom resource, you are right. We need to give him a call because our sidebar is all jammed up with too much stuff. Congrats on the new subscribers and I think you are right regarding the feedburner... very cool !

I knew this was coming, but I haven't checked everything. I know my Meez still works! LOL. I guess my sidebar priorities need some rearranging. ;)

Midori - isn't Brad the greatest? We ask a question and he picks up the phone and helps us through it, adding suggestions to improve it.

Hi Midori - I know almost nothing about most widgets, so have only one on my page, just a boring weather widget. Is you globe the same kind of info as the cluster map you have on here? I wouldn't mind having some jazzy stuff on my page, but no idea what I want or how to put it there.

WoW! This was a really nice post Midori, I'm feeling like I'm suppose to put a check in the mail or something. haha. Really though, what a great way of saying thanks. I'm glad you're getting some better results with your subscribers, and I have to admit, I love that globe widget too.
