Open houses are conducted throughout the year in the Greater Albuquerque Area of New Mexico. Even in winter? you ask. And the answer is, Yes, because even when it is cold, our dependable, warm, bright sunshine makes it pleasant to be outdoors. I am expecting sunshine this weekend. I am not on vacation, I am showing houses, and you are invited. I even made a video tour especially for you; so come on out and see some of the lovely inventory we have here in the Southwest. I look forward to seeing you at one of these lovely homes in Albuquerque, this weekend.

Eloise thank you for the invitation, but it is jusssssssst a little to far to drive :)

I was looking in the paper today for the Open Houses tomorrow, and there was only one listed, and non of the big Real Estate companies even advertised at all.  I guess they thought every one would be out taking advantage of all the sales.

Eloise, That house is just spectacular!  I hope your open house went well.

George- You coud have taken a plane.  I do think I was the only agent doing an open house today. I was able to shower attention on those who came.  Afterwards, without having planned to, I went to the mall and was truly surprised to see how many cars were in the parking lot. It was hard to find a spot.  I will try to remember not to do hold houses open on Thanksgiving weekend next year. (I am sure I will forget.) I am already committed to the one planned for  tomorrow and will do it.  You are still invited. Hop on an airplane! -:)

Carole- It is a spectacular home in a spectacular neighborhood. But as George observed, people were shopping (great for our economy)  so I had fewer visitors than I usually do. It was a perfect day for holding houses open.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for reading. Most of those who saw my notice were not willing to take a plane or a train. Others went shopping. Of course, I was simply hoping for that one willing and capable buyer.

It is snowing here today and I was still planning an open house, but the sellers are calling me and canceling the open houses, because they didn't want to leave.

Hey buyers, I'm now open to show today. (LOL)

CONGRATULATIONS on 2 years on Activerain!

Todd-  If your sellers call to say cancel, by all means. Yet, I hope some buyers called and you made a sale, nevertheless. It was cold in ABQ today, too cold I thought, for buyers to be out, but I saw a few open house signs.

Thanks for bringing to my attention that I had achieved 2 years on AR. I missed taking note of that milestone. Where is my badge? Where does the time go?
