Christmas MeMe - The One Gift Above All Others

By
Real Estate Agent with Retired

Laura Watts came up with a challenging Christmas Meme, at least for me. It's almost Christmas and I am to determine the one gift I would want above all, well, above all other objects that is. Nothing like world peace, happiness, etc. Maybe I could ask that stores not put up Christmas displays until at least Thanksgiving. But that doesn't seem to fit the spirit of a material Christmas.

So, what object would I like to have? Can people be considered objects? Do I wish for buyers. How about listings? I could wish for those also. But is it fair (oh my, back to campaing talk) to ask for those. Well, yeah, but I think I will put them a bit lower on my list.

How about time, is that an object? I could ask for more time with my grandson, I only get to see him once or twice a year since he lives outside of Seattle. But time is not an object.

So, let's get to the gist of it, what material thing would I really want for Christmas? What object would I really want. If a pair can be considered an object, I believe that I have found what I would like.

My wife and I went to the movies yesterday and saw Australia with Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. We enjoyed it. Most of it took place in the outback. It reminded me of the month I spent in The Land of Oz,  in 2001. The outback was my favorite part.  Seing the movie made me want to go back.

So, for Christmas, I would really like a pair of tickets to Australia, to share that great adventure again with my wife (who I had not met when I went the last time). She has not had a lot of adventure in her life and I would really like to share on big one with her. I would love to see her experience holding a koala (wow, so soft and cuddly), to see kangaroos race along side the Land Cruiser, to share a sunset with her at Uluru.

Uluru

Probably not this year, but, maybe next year, or the year after.

So, there it is Laura. I hope the pair of tickets qualify as an object. I can touch and hold them.

And now I will ask the following to share their material Christmas desires with us:

Richard Weisser

Susan Mangigian

Leesa Finley

Don Rogers

JL Boney

Big Mike...

Thanks for the tag! I owe you. And I really mean that I owe you! lol

My late mother and father LOVED Australia. My dad was fortunate enough to work there for six months as a consultant and the photo that he harvested are UNBELIEVABLE!

Excellent choice, I have to thing about this one a while!

Mike, thank you for the dubious distinction of being tagged AGAIN for a meme.  I will really have to think about this one.  I have so many wants and desires that I have no intention or hope of having fulfilled.... to pick just one.... hmmm.  You know, you mentioned Hugh Jackman, who might possibly be very close to the top of that list!!  Lol!  I'll think on it and let you know when I write it.  Thanks for thinking of me Mike.   xxoo

that's a great wish, not to corny, but the story makes it nice and sentimental. I'd travel anywhere too!

Wishing you much success this year so you can take your new wife to Australia next year!

Mike, Mike, Mike,

What am I gonna do with you?  I am glad that you didn't place a timeline on getting this done so does that mean that I have until next year to finish it?  LOL

I say start making plans now.  The tickets will be easy to obtain if you set the goal on a time line.

Don - as long as you get it done before Christmas, this year!

Susan - as I said, it's your wish for your gift

Gary - she would love it

Mel - can actually get the tickets with my ff miles. It's the time and the money to cover us while we are there, but yes, I am trying to get that in my plans also.
