I got to thinking today about my domain name on my current website www.BillHowardHomes.com and was wondering how many other realtors use their name as their website domain name? I have done many things to try and help my presence on the web.  I have added other domain names like www.DiscoverTulsaHomes.com and www.homesofBA.com, but through all this I haven't found that secret formula for success when it comes to internet search engine ranking.

With multiple domain names and keywords in the site how and what is the best, fastest way to promote a website without breaking the bank? Does anybody here on Active Rain have any advice? I want to promote my clients properties to the fullest potential.  I think a great amount of buyers who browse the websites do look at the listings available on these realtor website. I market in the Tulsa and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma real estate market and though it's not super saturated with websites like a larger major cities it does have many playing this online marketing game.

Unique content is king. If you have a website with "boilerplate content", get rid of it ASAP (the content, not the site). If you have to, pay a VA to write something custom.

Best of luck!

I agree with the unique content.  I spend lots of time writing content for my site.

I have also found Lonn Dugan's information to be very helpful.  He really knows his SEO.  He wrote a SEO e-book and has it posted on AR.  I found it to be VERY HELPFUL!
