Clearwater, Florida Real Estate - I have been so blessed to have made some great connections by blogging about real estate and commenting here on Active Rain. Today, one of my new friends, David Podqursky, mentioned he subcribes to my real estate blog about Clearwater, Clearwater Beach & Largo Homes and Condos. It was then that I realized that I don't know who has subscribed to my blog and who hasn't.  Do you who has subscribed to your blog?

I know, that just like my best clients, when I connect with someone I want to know more about them and help them be successful at what's important to them and I would like to stay current on what's going on with them and their real estate blogs. I'd also like to give them some link-love when I find the opportunity so here's my question...

How do I find out who's subscribed to my Clearwater, Clearwater Beach & Largo area Real Estate blog? I appreciate any insights you can give me!

Either way, if you're reading this now - I invite YOU to subscribe to my real estate blog by clicking the button over my picture to the right!subscribe to blog button ( see the sample I included right here------------------>)

Come hang out at the Internet Beach with me! I can promise you:

  •  Southern hospitality,

  • a shoulder to lean on or
  • a smile if you need one as we journey though this thing called "life"!

That is one of those hidden secrets.... I have thought about it in the past but never pursued the answer.

Cyndee as far as I know there is no way to know who has subscribed to your blog.  I think the staying-in-touch-getting-to-know-them-better part will have to be done the old-fashioned way, by making friends and touching base periodically.  But you're good at that!

I guess I make five out of five with no answer. I DO love clearwater beach, caladazia, tarpon springs and all of your great neighborhoods! We sold an investment property we owned in Dunedin last year after Hurricane Katrina sort of freaked us out in due to concerns abotu future insurance nightmares. I wonder how the market is there and if insurance costs are rising?

Maggie - but what about twitter? I'm putting my money on Jeff Turner to know the answer - let's see what develops. Thank you for your kind words - by the way I want to hear about the Mango Idenity crisis sometime (lol) - Just know that whenever I look at a mango I think of you - may not be a bad branding strategy.

Christopher,

The market is slow for home sellers but great for home buyers. We are hoping the hurricanes keep away from here because we need the property insurance crisis to settle down. Right now Citizens tends to be what most people are "stuck" with. They are proposing some property tax relief for the State of Florida but it's still all up in the air - we'll see what happens. Where's home for you?

Well I got on to find the answer and only found more people looking for the answer.  Maybe the answer is what Maggie said and there isn't a way.  It will be interesting to find out.

Teri - just the fact that I get to sit on the beach here rand have so many new visitors pop in is a great result even if we don't get an answer, but I'm an optimist....let's give it some time. Check back in and let's see what we find out...

Good question,

You should post this blog to the ActiveRain Suggestion Box group.

As of now I cannot find a way to find this information.  As far as I know the general public cannot subscribe to your blog, so we are not capturing leads.  The public can freely see any "publically posted" blogs on ActiveRain.com and on Localism.com.  If they go to your profile on ActiveRain, and click on your blogs, they can read all the blogs that have been posted as "public".  They cannot see "member only" or blogs individually posted to groups.

Only AR members can subscribe to your blog, in which case they can see all of them except those posted individually to a group.  Only the groups members can see these.

I am not sure why you would be interested in a list of names who have subscribed, except to create associations.  Perhaps AR will add this feature in the future.

AR does allow you to see your subscription ranking within your state for the top 100 subscriptions.  This will give you an idea of your blogs popularity and relative quantity of subscriptions to others in your state.

To check this out click on blogs at the top of the page.  Under blog subscriptions select most subscribed.  The top 30 members will be listed.  If you are not on this list go to the bottom of the list and click on "more blogs".  A list of states and provinces will be on the left. Click on your state and find out your subscription ranking.  Mine is 333 in California out of the first one hundred posted.  If you are not in the first one hundred in your state, you cannot go further.

Wow Mike that was so helpful - thanks I can't wait to check it out. I wanted to know because like the law of reciprocity I want to do for others, especially those that are interested in me and my message - I like to return the support. Does that make sense? Am I writing so it makes sense?

I pretty much know who subscribed to my blog because I get comments from them when the blog isn't featured.

I love the subscription feature.  Lets me keep up with friends and folks I like to read although I probably read 25-50 additional a day.

Hi Cyndee:  Spring is a northern suburb of Houston.  Years ago when we were being relocated out of Denver we though about moving to the Tampa area but ended up in North Carolina for 2 years and then back to the west.

Marchel - I co-opped in college for Houston Lighting & Power and lived in Humble, Tx - don't know why I can't place Spring - is it a newer area? Hate to admit I just realized college was 25 years ago (Yeesh....someone's getting old :-)) Tampa is similar to Houston - I think you may have a little further to get to the beach. Thanks for visiting, I'll keep a chair ready for you to get away! You can visit vicariously!

Currently there isn't a way for members to see who has subscribed to their blog.  We've thought about adding this, but have been reluctant due to privacy concerns.  People may not want others to know who's blogs they are watching.

Matt, thanks for the update. I understand - I was just thinking it would be great to help those helping me. I'm thankful for all you guys are doing and appreciate your clearing up the question. Seems a lot of people were wondering too. I liked Mike's explanation on how to check how you stand in your state. Love the community - thank you!

Ann you are too sweet - just being able to share my piece of the beach with nice people like you is a great feature of this job. I just got 2 features this weekend after never having any so they probably want to pass them around some but know how much I really appreciate your support. Where are you from? Have you considered adding this to your profile so people will know that when you comment? If you need any help with this I'm happy to share some of the lessons I've learned. Have a great day!
