So true, Karen and Donald. If you are selling, get serious about it.
Another one is "big, friendly dog." Or "don't let cat out." Great, not, for my buyers who are allergic to cats, and not real comfortable with big dogs.
Also, "alarm is on. Call for code." Great, so if I don't disarm exactly right, or can't find the box right after entering the house, then the police come? (I have set off the alarm before in a home because the box was in a dark closet and I couldn't see the numbers.)
If you possibly can, folks, send the pets to friends or family while the house is on the market, and I would love to have house disarmed. Anyway, regarding alarms, I have heard that the main deterrent is the sign in the yard or sticker on the door.
