Play it again Sam!

Haven't we've been here before?  I am sure you have seen it before.  I'll bet you will see it again.  It's in all the papers.  Covered by all media.

Like a broken record.

Our business cycle is wavering, wavering on recession, depression, food lines, unemployment records, welfare, research, development, investment and charitable contribution

I've seen it before and I'm sure I'll see it again.

But who is really wavering?  Big businesses, small business, freelancers, universities, and entrepreneurs.  Which organization?

Why do people and organizations start to pull back?  Are they being cautious? Is this prudent?  Is it the time to pull back, cut budgets, invest less in research and development, pull marketing and downsize the sales force?

Are you looking for an excuse?  Well you can find one if you need it.

I can understand the hesitancy in most people and small business with the media feeding frenzy.  It can be scary in the water for those who live in the past and in the present day.

Vision is slowing fading away along with opportunities.  That's too bad.

A big percentage of companies in this year's Inc. 500 were started within months of 9/11.  Imagine starting a business when everything was pulling back.

In today's economic atmosphere, political climate, cutbacks, layoffs, and big business acting badly creates an environment of less competition, a larger talent pool, and an entrepreneur attitude that causes real change.

If you are new to Real Estate or any business for that, you should be more excited than ever.  The possibilities for new business never looked better.  The opportunity for growth in startups is enormous.

So Gear up, Power up, Wind up, Mount up, Set up, Muscle up, and Start up!

Business needs people like you!

Maverick Rules

If I wasn't already running my own business, today is the day I'd start one.

Dave - I think the best part about being in real estate right now is that it gives you a great time to look at your planning for the future.  Now's the time to nurture relationships for tomorrow.  Now is the time to "get your ducks in a row" as they say.  I also think its a great time to buckle down on educational opportunities.  Learn some things today and the rewards will be greater tomorrow.  I also think that now is one of the best times to get a license...sure it will be hard to start, but that struggle and hard work through the beginning of your career can only benefit you when times are good.
