I came across this video earlier this week.  It is just too funny not to share.  Personally, I don't like close quarters and mass transit is by far my least favorite means of transportation.

I don't like people touching me when I'm traveling on buses or subways, so I usually try to avoid using them.  Fortunately, where I live, I just drive my car wherever I need to go. I just can't imagine putting myself into this position. I am way too claustrophobic.

I could feel myself freaking out, just watching them push and push and push.

And don't the platform personnel look really pleased with themselves when they finish?  Another job well done.  LOL.

I don't know what to say...Is this for real?  do people in the world really put up with this kind of thing?  Thank God I live in America!

Rob - Thanks for commenting.  Isn't that insane?  I just can't imagine going thru that every day.

Erby - That is so true.  I couldn't deal with that on a daily basis.  How can you get up in the morning?

That's too much...I love trains, but I do remember when I used to commute, and I'd have to stand for the first few stops till seats became available!  It was never that bad, and Ican't see NJ Transit employees working that hard!  LOL

Dear Bob, I am with you, that was disgusting. I would never put myself into that situation. Now I am happy to carpool whenever possible, but that train situation is not in my forseable future. I feel my own panic attack coming on now just thinking about that train! It also makes me think of the 1970's Chrleton Heston movie "Soylent Green". Everyone was starving and crammed into tiny spaces while the rich politcians got to eat steak and real jam and live in luxury. Did I mention the regular people were eating soylent green.... which was made from the other dead people?!? Ick! B

Laura - I've ridden the subways in New York, but this is just insanity.  And you are so right about the Transit employees, it would probably break a contract rule for them to work that hard.

Betina - I hear you loud and clear.  My panic attack kicked in when I saw this too.  As for Soylent Green, it was probably one of Heston's worst movies.

Bob, What a terrifying thought. Being packed in one of cars like that. Maybe they need a few foot ball players to help with the pushing and shoving. Now, the prob is how to get out...

Michael - Terrifying is a very good description.  I can't imagine what happens at the first stop that someone needs to get off.  Thanks for the comments.

Eeek! That was too scary for words.  Wonder if they have contests as to how many they can pack in?

That's incredible! Where exactly is this? I am putting this at the top of the Traveling Rainers group as a featured post. More people need to see this...

Hi Bob,

Guess I will stick to cars and planes. I couldn't imagine being placed in a situation such as this.

I can promise you what train I won't be getting on!  I, like you, do not want people I don't know touching me let alone trying to stuff me into a small area....
