Tired of all those JUNK calls...it is time to fight back.  I know as a Realtor I have to take special steps not to make unsolicited calls.

If potential clients are listed on the do not call list....guess what I don't call.  I may know I can help themthe phone call but it is not a Sometimes Law!

I send a post card instead.  I know that it reduces my chances but that's my option...short of walking up to the front door and knocking.  I have done that too.  Realtors get just as many junk calls at home as the public.

Somebody is always calling me about my car warranty!  Give it a rest....my car is 9 years old!  My credit cards are fine..I don't need another one thank you very much.

Help!So if you have any doubts of how to register your phone number or if it is registered; if your registration expires or how to report those calling with those fog horns, recorded messages....follow the link.

I think you will find some new options in reporting those pests that just won't take no for an answer or stop calling.  I have one account that just did me in and I will give you some tips on how to handle your email next time.  I have had Pier 1 Imports sending me emails on the latest candle offers....and I have blocked them time and again...unsubscribed...but when I sent the CEO a forward every time I received his company solicitation I was removed from the list!  I will teach you how...you never touch a thing it just happens....gotta love it.

For the moment follow the link....let's get pay back those unsolicited callers with a little update from Uncle Sam.

GARY, sending the CEO a forward; that is TOO FUNNY!  Obviously that got the point across!

Gary,  I have flipped the telemarketing calls and they don't know what to say.  I get about 2 car warranty calls a day.  I dialed 1 and asked the woman on the other end if she was saying that the warranty on my car had expired and she said yes, I asked her if she realized she was calling a place of business and if my car warranty had expired then my company car must have been stolen because I'm driving my personal vehicle and it was only 2 months old and had a 100000 mile or 10 year bumper to bumper warranty.  I haven't had many car warranty calls since then.  Now it's reverse mortgage calls, now the last time I checked I was only 45 and didn't qualify for reverse mortgages.  Why can't I put my office number on the do not call list for these jokers?

I can't believe telemarketers are still in biz.  I abandoned my landline and I use my evoicereception for all marketing I do.  It clearly states NO SOLICITING on my voicemail (so sad huh) so life is good :)

Gary:  Great post and one that we all can relate.  I feel for the folks at the other end since I'm in sales too, but I DO respect a consumer if they are on the No Call List or request not to be solicited.  What a clever idea to forward the solicitations to the CEO.  What I really have a hard time tolerating more than anything is solicitations by our own members on Active Rain.  Granted they are far and few but still.  I received a call from an AR member at 3am, gosh, where was Hillary when I needed her?!  LOL

Gary--It is also helpful if you are on the list and do get a telemarketing call to ask the caller if they were aware you are on the do not call list. I had to do this a few times. The callers stop talking, apologize and don't call back.

Hi Gary~ How come we honor those on the DNC list, but others just won't ?  It drives me crazy sometimes!

Hi Gary,

Great information on the do not call list. Everyone should be aware.

Take care,

I usually don't let the caller get more than 2 words in. I tell them to put me on their DNC list, and at this point, I'm almost never bothered.
