For more than 6 years, I've been referring Jon Bolton...otherwise known as the "Inspectagator," to Buyers who are purchasing a home and are in need of a home inspection.

In addition to being "Gator Fans" (like me!), Jon and his team have performed more inspections than most inspectors will perform in their lifetime! As a matter of fact, Jon told me last week that he has performed more than 5,000 inspections! Now that's what I call experience!

In addition to the experience, Jon is also one of the most educated and "decorated" inspectors I have ever met. He is both FABI and ASHI certified and has a degree in building construction from the University of Florida (hence, the "Inspectagator"name.")  Jon is also able to explain inspection findings in layman's terms and provides tons of resources to every Buyer he encounters in a printed and bound booklet which also includes color photos and helpful links to home-related websites.

In addition to all of the above reasons, the main reason I continue to endorse Jon is because he uses a thermal imaging camera in his inspections.

Yes, you read it right. An inspector who not only uses the traditional means of inspecting a house, but one who has also embraced technology and uses it to provide an "inside" look into the inner workings of the home. This camera is able to detect water intrusion, air-duct abnormalities, roof leaks, slab leaks...you name it...

To find out more about the Inspectagator, visit his website here.

At an inspection last week, I asked Jon if he would mind if I took a short video demonstrating his use of the camera...see for yourself...

And yes, I always refer at least three inspectors to those Buyers I represent as required by my Broker, but Jon is always on that list!

For a list of Buyers I've worked with who have been exceptionally happy with Jon's inspection methods, please call or text me at (321) 377-0157 or email me at LaShawn@LaShawnNorden.com

To schedule your inspection, call Jon & his team at (407) 678-HOME.

Does Jon hunt ghosts on the side? He could easily open a branch of TAPS down there with his thermal imaging camera! It is great though to find someone that we trust and uses all of the latest technical equipment (properly) and does the best for our clients!

La Shawn: Thermal Imaging cameras are not cheap. But they are great to find water leaks into the house and heat lost problems. It also can help to find possible sources of mold due to moisture. My mold remediator uses one. For a home inspection it is a added benifit to the buyer by far. It is a great tool. Richard

Kudos to Jon and to you for hiring and or recommending Jon. I also use a thermal imaging camera on all my inspections and have found it to be a real valuable tool when inspecting homes especially new homes that are tract built as so many subcontractors work on them. Great post LaShawn.
