A new Ball of Wax

By
Real Estate Agent with Florida Homes Realty and Mortgage

Our industry is changing, evolving, into a whole new ball of wax.  This is the market that will separate the boys from the men, the wheat from the chafe.

Transaction Management is the service that will differentiate us as professionals.  Anyone can do a CMA with the information that now can be gleaned from the Internet.  Anyone can put up a sign; place an ad in the paper even post a listing on the Internet.  However, it is the professional REALTORS understanding of the market, its supply and demand, as well as velocity and trends that sets us apart.  We also are experts in problem solving, financing issues, the closing process as well as the boat load of other issues that pop up in each transaction need a professional approach.

What will I do that sets me apart?  I think I can sum it up in two words, education and technology.  I will educate myself on the new trends in pricing and financing as well as the issues involving short sales and foreclosure transactions.  I'll also investigate and implement new Internet marketing ideas.  I certainly picked up a bunch of great information at NAR last month, and learn daily from the bloggers of sites like this.

I plan to be one of the men left standing when this whole market shakes out.  How about you?

Good for you, Marjorie and what a great attitude to have.  I am very involved in Real Estate on both the local and state level in my area.  I teach new agents also.  The one credo I go by is "knowledge is power" and you seem to feel the same. There are a bazillion ways to make our lives easier and more profitable and I want to share one with you.  I am using a system called Vobre which encompasses a transaction management system, a real 800 number call capture system, fax on demand, etc, etc.  I have tried almost everything there is out there and have never been happier than I am now using this product.  For you and anyone else who reads this please visit http://vobre.com and see if this might be your key to simplification.  I'd be iunterested in hearing any response.  Thanks and the best of luck.
