Wow, no one told me this was going to happen to me! When Allen F. Hainge, CRS encouraged me to join Active Rain I had some reservations. I had heard of blogging but "Who has time for it"? I thought blogging was for those that have nothing better to do. Boy have I received a wake-up call!
Many of you have read my posts in the last week where I have mentioned how members Chris Elizabeth Griffith, Karen George Arizona Home Loan and Laurie Manny inspired me to re-write my profile and re-title my main blog and all the blogs I write.
After several emails with Chris and re-reading Karen's blog This Is A Lousy Title For My Post I decided to rethink how I not only write my posts but what titles I use which is more important than I had previously thought.
Armed with all this motivational information I revised my profile because I realized this is the first contact many consumers will make with me. I had to have powerful, informative profile if I was to catch their attention. Karen helped me fine tune everything This past Friday and Saturday a.m.
All this is good and many of you have already read about my new profile. What I didn't expect is what happened over the weekend. As of Saturday I was amazed when I found out that if I go to Google and type in "Nampa ID real estate", my information comes up on each of the first 5 pages!
My personal AR profile comes up on the 1st page and either AR or Localism profiles come up on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th pages with my personal website now coming up on the 5th page!
I had 4 new contacts between Saturday evening and this a.m. (Monday the 23rd of April, 2007) that found my profile through Google and then read my other information posted on those first 5 pages! There was a time I thought it awesome to have my website show up on just the tenth page of Google!
Take the time to look at what Chris is doing with Localism and listen to what Chris, Karen and Laurie have to say. Realize that your AR profile and Localism may be your first connection to consumers and we need to prepare our AR profiles and Localism posts for that first important encounter.
If you do all of this expect a "Thunderstorm" of new business.
