So you just bought a home and got everything in place and you get a letter from your Appraisal District.  They are requesting your sold information.  You are in Texas, so what is required.

As a Buyer of the home you do not have to respond to this request, because Texas is a non-disclosure state.  The more you tell your taxing district the more they can change your taxes. So as home buyers it is better to keep this information to yourself.

As listing agents we are required by Article 2, section 2.5 of the ACTRIS Rules and Regulations to report sold data to ACTRIS within 24 Hours.

This is just a another great reason to live in Texas.   So please tell everyone you know about this,

Have a great week,

J.
