posting your email

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

There are lots of ways that we get junk mail.  Anytime you post your email in a forum or blog or community (like AR) you leave yourself open for more of it.  One way that you can do it safer is to use words instead of the symbols in your address.

Example: chad at insertrealestatecompanyhere dot com

That vs chad@insertrealestatecompanyhere.com

If someone legitimately wants to contact you, they can.  They will take the time to 'edit' the address listed so that their message will reach you.

Until later

Chad,

I think it is important to make it easy for your clients to reach you and I think you will find it better to use an outside service that allows the person to send you the e-mail in and then type in a word verification in rather than trying to translate what you put in your post. I think you will find you will lose a lot more business that the amount of spam you would have received in the first place. (8-2)
