In the start of the New Year here in St. Marys, Ontario Canada at the Friendship Center I will be holding a class on down sizing. I have started running these class due to that fact that there is so much we learn in getting our Real Estate Lic. When I was studying even though I had bought and sold homes in the past I could not believe how much more there was I was unaware of. I first started off holding class for first time home buyers, which I enjoy holding too. One day I was thinking about one of the seniors in my own neighborhood and how her husband had passed on. The two of them had lived in their home for more than 40 years and in fact she had never been apart of the original Real Estate transaction. Knowing how much paper work, SPIS, and information she would be given I felt it would be wonderful to start holding classes so they are given a bit of this info well in advance. Since holding these classes I have received wonderful feedback and my clients seem to enjoy it. Not to mention that moving out of your family home into a retirement type community after many years of memories is stressful. In hopes of making this transaction less stressful I have designed a class that is short and enjoyable to participate in yet informative. My next class will also be working with a finical planner to bring other info forward.
