Southmoor Park in Longmont, CO is a wonderful neighborhood in which to live and work! This established neighborhood has big, mature trees and established homes as well as proximity to the local parks, schools and churches.
Located in the south part of town, the subdivision was built in the early 1970's by Melody Homes. The homes have several floorplans and are comfortable for families as well as retirees and professionals. Homes prices range from the $170,000's - $250,000's.
There is no homeowner's association, but there is an active neighborhood group that is consistently improving the neighborhood. The City of Longmont sponsors the neighborhood group and has awarded several grants for park improvement as well as the Art in Public Places program.
Kanemoto Park is at the heart of the neighborhood. A sprawling park with beautiful greens, picnic tables, greenway path that winds along Lefthand Creek, the special treat is the Tower of Compassion - a five level pagoda dedicated to the citizens of Longmont. Also within the park is the Kanemoto Activity Pool - a great pool for smaller children just learning to swim.
Southmoor Park has two elementary schools - Burlington Elementary, and Indian Peaks Elementary as well as Sunset Middle School and the Career Development Center for St. Vrain Valley Schools.
