Sucessfull Elkhart Indiana Real Estate Expert and Certified Short Sale Specialist Evelyn Johnston with Prudential One Realty gets another short sale approved...and will be closed by the end of the week!  It sure feels great to look in the beaming faces of Sellers who just a few short months ago were desperate for information, desperate to stop the past due calls from the Mortgage Company and desperate for a qualified person to get their home sold before Foreclosure!  Let me tell you a little bit about the process.

First you miss the first payment, thinking it won't be too bad to miss one, you just have to watch your spending the next month, and then something else happens and you miss that one too.  Could be for any reason whatsoever, you still feel like nothing is going right...and it is almost impossible to get caught up.  The bank isn't helping at all, they just want all thier money, and they want it yesterday.  Some folks even move out of their homes at this stage when in reality they still own that home, and will, until either the home is sold or foreclosed upon.  That is what happened to these folks.  They moved out early and got settled elsewhere.  That's okay, probably just being somewhere else is a comfort of a sort.  But they didn't need to move out yet.  They could have saved the money they are now paying for rent.  But I degress.  These folks called me from a letter I sent them, asking for help.  We listed the property and were lucky enough to have not one, but two offers right out of the shoot.  Within a week after listing we were reviewing offers to see which would be most like to be accepted by the bank.  And we have steadily worked toward getting it accepted and an approval letter from their Lender, which we have had for about a week now.  We are tying up the last of the details and closing in two more days.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF US! The REALTORS are getting commission checks, the appraiser got an appraisal fee, the home inspector received a paycheck, the Title Company received their fees, and the Sellers got a ton of weight off their shoulders, and paid for nothing out of thier pocket!
