Hi Joan, I think the bird outside is thinking, " Could I come in, it looks like a fun house to call my own. And it comes with very own duck. I'd like to make an offer. How about 400,000 seeds and I'll throw some twigs and a half dozen leaves. Is it a deal? Got to have that duck!

William...that summer that particular bird came at the same time every day for about two weeks! He really had a "thing" going! LOL

Joan - Very nice photo of the little bird outside, I really like the yellow color. And the Loon inside, I am familiar with these birds too. Born and raised in the Midwest with many lakes and many loons.

Joanie, That is such a cool shot! Awesome! Is he a regular visitor? I absolutly love this photo.. You should send it to the local newspaper or tv station as a shot of the day if they have one~

Hello Robert...thanks for the compliment. The yellow bird is a male finch. He was quite taken with himself. He could see his reflection in the widow at a certain time of the day and showed up regularly!

That's a smart little yellow bird. He's admiring how the inside bird is keeping his head above water- with people buying less birdseed, he's wise to wonder!

Hi Joan...Perhaps the bird outside checked the temperature and know for certain it was much better to spend this New Hampshire winter indoors. Is that a look of envy I detect?

Kate...you have that part right! This winter has been brutal so far!

Joan, I love loons. Did you know they mate for life and are almost always in 2's. I collect loons.
