All over the country, Agents are using NonStopNeighbors Web sites to build relationships within their communities. There’s no better way to farm your local area for leads, and NonStopNeighbors makes it easy to create dynamic, content-rich sites that bring in valuable traffic.
But some agents are going above and beyond in coming in with unique ways of promoting their NonStopNeighbors Web sites and their real estate business. We wanted to share some of their ideas with you as you develop your plan to reach your community in the coming year.
Turn your community Web site into a community portal
What’s the difference between a Web site and a portal? A Web site tells your visitors a piece of information that they want to know. A portal tells your visitors everything they want to know.
One of our NonStopNeighbors Agents spent some extra time upfront customizing his community Web site, giving his visitors information on everything from the best local restaurants to a calendar of events in the area schools. He spent a few minutes every morning updating the site, giving community members fresh content and a reason to come back every day.
The results were impressive! Not only did his traffic increase dramatically, community members started submitting their own news and events to the site, taking care of our Agent’s work for him. His simple community Web site had become a community portal, bringing in hundreds of visitors every day. And when those visitors needed an Agent to help them sell their home, they went to the man who made it all possible – our NonStopNeighbors agent.
NonStopNeighbors makes it easy to quickly and easily customize your community Web site, giving community residents exactly what they want to read about. Our Virtual Assistants can even help an Agent generate fresh content and ideas for a community portal. Form relationships with community businesses
A NonStopNeighbors site can be a win-win for Agents and local businesses. NonStopNeighbors makes it easy for local businesses to sponsor an Agent’s community Web site, and one of our Agents used this to his advantage to drive traffic to his site.
Our NonStopNeighbors agents printed up a series of postcards with the URL to his NonStopNeighbors site and distributed them to local businesses. Each business got a group of postcards with a different color on the back – red, blue, green, etc. He asked these businesses to hand these cards out to their customers.
When these customers registered on his community Web site, our Agent asked them to enter the color on the back of their postcard. This allowed him to see which businesses were handing out the most postcards, and he rewarded them with discounted ad space on his NonStopNeighbors Web site.
Businesses loved it because it was a cheap way to get their message in front of highly targeted local traffic. Our Agent loved it because his Web site traffic exploded and his community Web site paid for itself through advertisements. And the community loved it because they had a Web site that gave them all the local information they needed to know.

Set up a networking group
One of our Denver agents took a slightly different – but equally successful – approach to reach local businesses using the NonStopNeighbors advertising module. She set up “Business Networking Group,” and recruited local businesses to join for a small fee. Every week, the networking group met together at a local restaurant and discussed ways to grow their businesses.
As part of the networking group, our Agent offered these businesses ways to get involved on her community Web site – everything from a simple listing in her business directory to a full-page advertisement or an entry in her e-mail newsletter. There was a way for businesses big and small to get involved in the site.
These businesses became invested in the community Web site, and started promoting it to their customers. Our agent also was able to collect advertising revenue from each business, creating another income steam for herself. And all the while, she became more of a presence in her community, growing her real estate business alongside her site.
