Information on Fullerton Road Development in Springfield/Lorton area

I have just learned that the new development going on near Fullerton Road and Backlick between Backlick and Alban Roads is a private development. There will be a hotel (no word on the name) and office buildings meant to house contractors in support of Fort Belvoir/EPG.

More news to follow as I learn more.

Thanks for the scoop Cathy. Do you know how many rooms the hotel will have, when the project is targeted for completion? I'd be interested in the scope of the office buildings as well. Do you think the EPG will ever turn into a "SuperCity" which was once rumored?

Hi Brian,

Well, as it turns out, the hotel is what went up in Springfield at the corner of Backlick and Old Keene Mill, what is busily being built at EPG is of course the new Geospatial building. They are also completing the Fairfax County Parkway as we speak. There is even a new light along Backlick Road Between the F-S Pkwy and Fullerton Road.
