I came across this great map for people that are wanting to know the ratings of schools in Colorado Springs, CO.

It can be so frustrating at times as a realtor to not be able to tell people what the academic reputation of a school is.  But you just can't.  Here you can send them to a great tool so they decide for themselves.  I was so excited to come across this!  Genius!!

We have something similar here in San Diego and in California. I think it's a legal thing about accountability for the schools here.

There's one area here where there's an old, historic school on one side of the street, and a couple of blocks down, there's a new school on the other side of the street. It's amazing how people will fight to buy a home on the "other side of the street" so their children will be in the new school. Personally, the old school has more character.

I think it is good to offer something to our clients to help them have an idea about a neighborhood they are gonna move into.  Alteast the schools.

Jim,

Yeah, I am not big on the look of the school.  It is what is being taught in it that matters.  My kids go to a charter school.  For the last 6 years they have been in Mondulars and got a better education then a regular school.
