The 79th Annual Lighting of the World's Largest Living Christmas Tree will be held on Thursday December 4, 2008. The event will feature holiday entertainment provided by the New Hanover High School Jazz Band from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm with the tree lighting ceremony beginning at 6:00 pm, followed by the arrival of Santa.

Have you been naughty or nice? Visit Santa and one of his elves to find out before he heads off to deliver presents all around the world! The line to visit Santa closes at 8:30 pm each night, so arrive early. Each child will receive a candy cane and a special toy from Santa. This is a free event so don't forget to bring your camera!
