The topic is EYE CANDY. I want lots and lots of hyper-local eye candy people. We are going to be doing our Club Chaos Winter Eye Candy Contest very shortly. I am waiting for permission to play by the same rules, with a few tweaks. Everything except the theme is in place. This post is your one and only spot to argue about what the upcoming Winter Eye Candy theme will be.
Pending rules awaiting approval:
It has got to be PG-13!!!! Don't make me come after you!!! I do not want to get in trouble with the AR staff. This is about showcasing Localism and your Outside Blog with hyper-local content. I want to see what you see during the Winter time.
You must post your contest submission(s) in the group "Outside Blogs" and one of the following 5 other groups: (D1) Diary of A Realtor (public); (D2) Dedicated Bloggers (public); (D3) Whacked (public); (D4) Square Pegs (public) and (D5) Club Chaos (by invitation only: current members).
You must post your contest submission(s) in Localism and the AR Outside Blog. Failing to do so disqualifies you. This is a very important point so I will say it again: FAILING TO DO SO DISQUALIFIES YOU... so please pay attention to the rules. Make a check list if you have to. Susan M doesn't like rules, so I will try and be very helpful in explaining them. I do not want to tick off the Mangigian (LOL). Post your questions for the pending contest here. I'm sure Sue and I will be having some very interesting discussions in the conversational thread. Lizette will probably be spanking me for writing television contest rules again... oh well. I have an expectation and I want to feed my eye candy addiction with your beautiful handiwork. :-)
The contest judges are prohibited from entering as panel members but may participate in other events they are not actively judging, including future CC Eye Candy contests. Note: 1. Every entry must be original content created by the participant. 2. Submissions must be titled and tagged to separate the contest entries. Meta Tags: Club Chaos DecECP12 (Photography Eye Candy) Club Chaos DecECV12 (Video Eye Candy). In addition, the photographs and video must have been created during the interim of Nov 15th 2008 - January 2, 2009.
We are looking for something relevant and fresh from your geographical location. You get to pick where you want to go hyper-local so if you are traveling for the holidays feel free to shoot video and take photographs from where ever you may be. I want to see what you see during the winter. The debate will probably be whether we leave it as a generic hyper-local effort of your choice or request that you cover your area landmarks. The theme needs to be decided before the 8th so we can get the official contest rules posted.
Failing to use the appropriate Meta Tags to identify your contest submissions will result in your contest points not being awarded. Failing to publish the appropriate AR-OB links in the comment section of THE UP-COMING OFFICIAL CONTEST POST will result in your creation not being reviewed and no points will be awarded.
Minimum Post Requirements: 100 words and 5 Photographs and/or 100 words and one 1.5 minute video. (It would be nice if you would act like you were writing for a feature, but 100 words will do. It isn't the quantity, it's the quality!)
Do not combine two entries on one post. Do not submit multiple videos on one post. Do not exceed 5 minutes with your video submission. Do not include music unless (a) you own the copyright or (b) have written permission from the rights owner to use their music (I will spot check if you do). Do not include any television or radio transmissions or visuals in the background of your videos. Do not trespass on any property to complete your project.
We are asking for the same point spread as the Autumn contest: 2000 points for 1st Place in Photography, 2000 points for 1st Place in Video. 1500 points for 2nd Place in Photography, 1500 points for 2nd Place in Video. 1000 points for 3rd Place in Photography, 1000 points for 3rd Place in Video. 500 points for 4th Place in Photography, 500 points for 4th Place in Video. Each contest entry: 200 points. WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON 1/10/2009 (give or take a day - LOL).
I want to see your best efforts for this project. I have an expectation that each contest will improve. The photography was awesome the last go around. I wanted to scream because you guys were lacking in video submissions. I WANT MY FRIGGIN' VIDEO PEOPLE! SERIOUSLY! (LMAO)
Let the contest debate begin...
