Big Three Autos -Bailout at expense of Small Business Owner!

Politics as usual in Washington when the big three auto execs talk on the hill.  I suspect the cost of all these hearings are going to run in the millions and in the end, the Bush administration is going to force the Democrats to bail them out as a last gesture for future political fodder for the Republicans.  If the bailout is to protect the auto workers, read in union, then once again the average citizen is screwed.

The point is that no proof has been offered that Americans need 25 or more models of cars.  There is an over supply of manufacturing, there has been this over supply for years.  It took creative financing to sell the ones that were sold.

As to the average business owner, of which most of the people on Active Rain are, we are not getting bailed out.  Tens of thousands of us have decided to quit to the business, more are just making it by.

The same arguement that the proponates of the bailout(s) say that there would be job losses that would ripple through the econonomy.   What about the lack of available spending money that the average businrss owner no longer has?  Now, across America, people who own businesses are not buying inventory, or upgrading their operations.  These decisions may come to cause even more collapses in the future.

My point is, why is Congress even talking to this guys?   The answer is business as usual in Washington!
