Myrtle Beach Real EstateTime to decorate for Christmas, I love being able to wear shorts to do it!  Another advantage of living in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Yesterday, my wife and I decided that it was time for a day off!  Now, as a real estate agent, you technically never have a day off, but I was going to do my best to not focus on work, but instead spend time on household things and spending time with my family.

Since we have been so busy with work and church since returning from our Thanksgiving trip to Atlanta we decided that we would focus our efforts on getting our outside decorations up.  When I awoke in the morning, I checked the weather to see what the temperatures were supposed to be in Myrtle Beach. It said sunny with temperatures in the mid to upper 60's!

I sometimes forget how wonderful it is to live in Myrtle Beach, SC.  As a real estate agent, I spend a lot of time working with buyers who are ready to move out of the cold weather of the north.  In fact, that is the reason that my family originally moved south.  My father was in an automobile accident and his Doctors said that a warmer climate would be better for his conditions.  So, we Isabellepacked up and headed to Myrtle Beach.

Yesterday, I was able to wear shorts as I am able to almost every year at this time of year while installing the outside decorations.  I remember growing up in Pennsylvania and when we would go to put up the decorations we would sometimes need full winter gear and even need to clean off the snow just to put up the Christmas lights! One thing for sure, I certainly do not miss shoveling the snow!

The warm temperatures made the installation of the outside decorations go rather quickly and smoothly.  We were able to install everything without a hitch.  Luckily all the lights still worked!  After we finished last night, Katherine brought Isabelle outside to see what she thought of the lights.  As you can see from the picture, she was thoroughly engaged in the pretty bright lights.

Once we finished our townhome, I shot a few outside pictures for you all to see.  I know it isn't much, but it is about all we can do when living in a townhome with HOA regulations. If you are tired of dealing with the freezing cold temperatures of the North, maybe it is time to consider a move to Myrtle Beach?  Feel free to contact me and I can share even more wonderful advantages to living in a sub tropical climate!

Very tasteful.  You did a great job and look like a professional while doing it.  Thanks for sharing.  The north has advantages but the weather gets to me.

Jeremey~Isn't living in Florida wonderful? I'm in Seminole County and we've had our windows open all week...Being a Florida native, I couldn't imagine living somewhere that I couldn't wear shorts in December!! Nice decorations by the way...

Jeremy - sounds like you had fun decorating.  Nice job!

I left NY for Charlotte, NC just for that reason...warmer climate. However, the days of 60 degrees are gone for us. I am very envious of your short-wearing Christmas decorating attire. LOL

Jeremy - thanks... I will wait until I can wear shorts to go put out the Christmas lights. Ok, if I do it may be next year before the go up! Nevermind, I'll have Brian go put them up! He wears shorts even when it's 20 degrees out. Rita

Christmas is probably the only time I don't mind the cold and snow. Other than that I want to live where you do Jeremy!

Jeremy - you were talking about this yesterday on Rain radio - and your home looks great! I love the wreath. Perhaps I will take some pictures this weekend of our decorating too! Like you - we are having very temperate weather now!

You did a great job with the lights and decorations, it looks very nice!  It's cold here in Colorado and you can rarely wear shorts this time of year here...you're lucky to have such warm weather!!

Home looks terrific! I think I'd miss the chance of snow oppertunity on Christmas. But.....My golf clubs have been away since October and the thought of MB is real appealing right about now.

Jeremy be careful on that roof.  I had shorts on until yesterday when a good cold front blew thru the area.

Jeremy, Why are you trying to make us northerners jealous?? Just kiddin!  I couldn't go up on my roof now if I wanted to - there is lots of snow.   I didn't get any lights out this year - too late now as it is below zero and I'm not freezing my pinky off to put up lights.  Guess I'm the scrooge of the neighborhood. LOL  Your house looks nice!

It's usually warm enough here, but not ths year. We have been a bit cooler than normal, but it feels more like a PA Christmas!

Jer,

I don't like the cold BUT I am not to sure I like the thought of really high winds either.  Especially when they are mixed with salt water.

Nice job with the outside decorations.

It is a bit cold and snowy here but we get used to it and the spring through fall is so nice in Michigan I just put up with the few months of winter.

Either have most of my neighbors so I don't feel bad. But, it is snowing here and 18 today so .....................(no need to commet back, lol)

Happy Holidays Jeremy! I'll think of you when I'm up on the roof doing my lights, and it will probably be a day when it's in the 20's with a wind! Whoo Hoo!!!

HAHA - I nearly froze my butt of the day I decorated outside. And as far as HOA - don't get me started!! I sadly moved into a neighborhood of snobs. I should have moved into the woods!
