Rainbow shot taken in Red Hook

 

After reviewing the sales trend over several months I predicted a large inventory would  be carried forward to 2009.  This month there were only two sales of single family detached homes and 3 offers.

Mortgage price has dropped, so has the price on many properties.  There is talk of some intervention to bring mortgage price even lower but only time will tell.  This month because of the lower rates many are using the opportunity to refinance to get a better rate or to get some equity out of their home to help them through this challeging time.

Here is the real estate activities for the month of November compiled from data obtained from the Mid Hudson Multiple Listing services on December 1st.

Marchel we have that option; actually two. One that is firm, and showings might be suspending, the other showings continues as if there were no offers.

Karen that cuts down on calls to listing agent to find out if property is still available.  Also when choosing properties for showing you know up front what properties might not be available.  If  one of these offers falls through it comes back in a category which also let you know the offer fell apart.
