I want to [quickly] build a website for a fellow Realtor who lost her battle with cancer yesterday. My goal is to have a community place where anyone can go to the site, sign a Guest Book with their thoughts, post photos, and interact in a Facebook kind of way (but not use facebook).
Can anyone point me in the direction of a website provider who offers Guest book and photo upload possiblilities (for guests in addition to the webmaster) with an easy to use, WYSIWYG interface as I am not a web programmer. I would really appreciate it.
I also want to incorporate a PayPal function where people can make donations in the name of the trust set up for her children.
Thanks so much for any help anyone can provide.
Hi Steve:
What a wonderful idea...maybe try Yahoo's Geocities...if you don't get a better suggestion.
Good luck,
You can use http://sites.google.com - it's easy to create website with not complicated content. If you think google sites it's not the right tool, you can check our porfolio at www.designworxx.com and contact us to give you a quote.
Best, Chris
Steve,
Did you have any luck with finding someone to create the quick site for you? If not, let me know and I will scout around my network to get some answers. What you are looking for isn't anything that will take hours to create but it definitely needs to contain Captcha in certain area to prevent that spam bots and those with less than admirable intentions to access the protected areas.

Thanks to all of you for being helpful. Fortunately, I was able to identify a company that specializes in memorial websites.
Please feel free to visit the website I did for my friend, who incidentally, is a 20+ year Realtor veteran. Thanks again --- www.MemoriesOfJulia.com
Steve, just saw this posting & went to the web site.
What a great sight; she sounds like a wonderful soul.
The gift you (all of you who knew her) were given by knowing her will last a life time. You will
forever be improved through that experience.
I do not know any of you, but can say with admiration that you, Steve, did / are doing a beautiful
thing by thinking of this Tribute in the first place & by following through to production.
By doing so, you not only placed this wonderful person in the memories of all who see the web site, but also for everyone to know how to do such a site should they need it in the future.
Thank you Steve for being the person who yo are; you have enlightened all of us.
Barb & Sal
Barb & Sal - Thanks for your kind words - they are very much appreciated. And you are right about Julia - she was a beacon of positive light for anyone who was around her.
