As I came home from work looking forward to a relaxing evening at home I was rudely met by the extreme coolness of the house, if it were July everything would be just great, but the calendar read Dec 4th. the joy of returning home was quickly extinguished just as the flame of my furnace was. What do you do call a repairman at 5:00 and pay an arm and a leg? My dilemma increased when my better half came home but she didn't seem to mind the coolness as much as I did, so start the fireplace and we'll be fine, words of wisdom. I found the phone book to get an idea of who to call and found a company with 24 hr service, time to call. When the young lady answered the phone I could tell we weren't going to have heat tonight. We have an opening at 1:00 P.M tomorrow, hello, hello, I'm here, is that the best you can do, can't you come early in the morning. sorry 1:00 is the earliest. Ok call when your on your way and I'll meet them here. When the repairmen arrived one of them was somebody my daughter went to the prom with, small world. They did some testing and determined what the problem was, a simple switch was the culprit and soon was fixed, the furnace started blasting heat just as if nothing had happened, thank goodness for qualified repairmen who know what they are doing and do it well. Now I can go home tonight and relax, watch a little TV, at least I hope that plan works.
