A Random Act of Kindness!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with WHISPERING PINES REALTY 20398180

My wife and I are not strangers to doing this act.  Usually a young family, obviously not well off.  Be it a tank of gas, or the Dairy Queen treat.

Well this came as such a surprise.  We were eating at one of our usual restraunts and when I asked for the bill, the server said it had already been taken care of.  I know the look on my face was of shock...i mean, we do this to others not have it done to ourselves!

The eatery was not very busy, and our bill was under $20...but just the same, it felt weird!  We new no one in the place at the time.  I guess it made someone feel good,  it made me feel kinda guilty.  But no comlaints here...we will do the same to some one else...

Try it sometime...it's a great feeling!

This happened to me once in a drive through coffee line. I have no idea but the person ahead of me paid for my coffee. A week later I bought an elderly lady  a few groceries because she had went over her budget.  ( She was probally loaded ) but I have done this and it is the weirdest thing.

This is a definit must do !!

I believe what goes around comes around and you reap what you sow.  If you've been doing this for others, don't be surprised when they do it for you.  I do understand the strange feeling being the recipient when you're used to being on the other side.

You didn't recognize anyone there at all?  Man, these kinds of things never happen to me...  I've bought someone's ice cream before... when I bartended, I bought many drinks and dinners for my customers...

Giving back is wonderful.  It comes directly from the heart.  More people need to do this.  I was standing in line at a Starbucks waiting for my change.  A mother ordered a cookie for her daughter.  I took my change and gave it to the girl to pay for her cookie.  Her Mom's jaw dropped.  It was awesome!

Thank you for the post.

Bill - I've done this.  Sometimes I'm anonymous, sometimes not!  I've done this at toll booths too!  That's fun.

William,

Ever hear of What goes around comes around?  That is what has just happened to a giving person such as yourself.

What a nice shock!  I have helped people, but not for awhile.  I think I will do something like this today while I am out shopping.  Thanks for the reminder, I appreciate it.

Bill...

What a nice thing for someone to do ... it does make you feel strange though, doesn't it?
