On a flight from Ontario, CA to Las Vegas, NV last year, I was so disappointed that it was a gloomy, drizzly day.  I was so surprised when we broke through the clouds and I was able to captured this photo.
Although it would have been much better on a bright day, the overcast higher clouds gave the whole picture a look of black and white.
I was so happy I had a window seat.  Hope you all enjoy.

Bob.. Your comment is a perfect statement of 'There is always a silver lining."  This is a great picture and I don't think a sunny day would make it better.. just different.  I like the contrast.

Steve - Monochromatic does seem to fit it, doesn't it.  I think it would look cool framed in black.  hmmmm.  I'm heading over to sign up for Speechless Sunday now.  Thanks for commenting.

I remember the first time I was on an airplane and we broke through the clouds.  It took my breath away to see how beautiful they were.  This picture is really awesome with the mountains off in the distance.  You did a great job capturing that photo from inside the airplane.

Laura - I was thinking more on the lines of cotton batting.  My wife used to use it for sewing projects.  Cotton candy works too.  Thank you for commenting.

Julie - The flight was a bit rough going through those clouds, but once we got above the, it did feel like we were floating.  It was very calm.  Thanks for commenting.

Hal - Thanks for the compliment.  I probably should crop that airplane wing out of it.  LOL

Wow!  Glad the plane didn't get much closer!  Impressive piercing of the clouds by the mountains.  Impressive, but a bit intimidating...
