O.K., so the Annual Bel Air Christmas Parade is coming up this Sunday, Dec. 7th and I'm psyched!

It starts at 3:30 PM at Main St. and Rte. 22 and winds its way to Shamrock Park.  I'm sure there will beLOOK! It's Santa and Mrs. Claus! hot chocolate for all just like past years (along w/the tree lighting and Christmas carols).

It's the Grinch!

The Courtster. Waiting for her big sis to march by.I just hope the weather won't be too cold and brittle.

Last year's parade was actually cancelled because of the weather.  We had a terrible ice storm.

Sydney. Syd. The Sydster. Syndra. Sydney, Sydney, Bo-bidney, The Sydster was none to pleased since she was oh-so ready to march with her Girl Scout troop.  This would This year they were gingerbread girls. Mine is the brown one in the center, behind the banner. She actually was a "brownie" then. Get it, "brownie." I crack myself up.have been her fourth (or fifth?) year, I believe.

'Twas the night before the parade, the costume was stitch-witcheried (ya'll scout moms feel me, I know!) and the holly berry cape was hung by the chimney with care.  Well, actually, it was hung in the laundry room to cool off from all the glue of the hemming tape, and then we find out the whole thing is called off!

So, our scout leader says not to worry, "Let's use 'em for next year."It's a Bel Air kinda Christmas.

So now it is next year and the scout leader says, "The girls are dressing up as ornaments for this year's parade".  To which I replied to my l'il junior scout, "What a adorable little HOLLY BERRY ornament you'll be!.  Why, I'll just add a knit cap with a cardboard hook and we'll get raves about your festive creativity!"

Afterall, it really is the little things that mean so much...

She was not amused.

Me too!  The Sydster had to choose between the parade and the last game of a basketball tourney scheduled for Sunday.  She chose the parade so I really hope all goes well.

65 degrees in December...puhleez!  That's O.K., though.  I love my Maryland and I love being able to enjoy all 4 of the seasons.  I must admit that the snow and ice storms wear on you after a while and get old pretty quickly.
