Squidoo for Real Estate

It's as simple as Marci Toliver's definition of a blog - Better Listing on Google.

Google Juice

How to stage a Kitchen

But wait, there's more.

There's the face that you can tell a fuller story:-

391 Hartshorn Drive - the best 4 BR for sale in Short Hills, NJ right now!

There's a way to share expertise and sell stuff:- (and donate the proceeds to charity:-

how to stage a dining room

and then sell a lot of stuff

lots and lots of table runners... because I love them, in the same goofy way some people love shoes and ...um stationery, which I also like, but haven't done a lens on yet.

Then there's out and out, middle-aged soccer mom fantasy time - one fine-lookin' fella -

and what's in a name?

Plus, my business story and

a discussion I instigated here on AR that still intrigues me.

Check out....a new direction my business is taking - training -

Do you Squidoo?

It works really well for Real Estate.  Wanna see how?

I'm hosting a free preview call this Wednesday (sign up and you'll get access to a downloadable MP3 recording of the call) to explain how and why it fits into a strong, effective marketing campaign for your real estate business.  These tactics make sense for everyone, not just realtors, but stagers, mortgagors, title guys, home inspectors, everyone!

Squidoo is ideal for the creative, with infinite possibilities and there are templates too for the faint of heart.  Here's a templated lens that you set up by inputting a zip code.  It's great for all you photographers out there!

Squidoo can be a great way to gain additional exposure online!  I've been on Squidoo for almost two years now and it is so wonderful to see all the kinds of businesses that are joining us.

Congrats to you for your forward thinking!  I'm sure what you have to say will REALLY benefit other realtors!

Hi Juliet

Staging helps a home to sell faster and for more money, so just do it.

Good luck and success

I do "just do it", Lou.  Lots of it, all the time.  Thank you for your kind wishes on success.  It has been great fun helping my realtors and sellers market their homes.  Squidoo is a terrific way to do that.  Have you tried it to market your own turn-around ability?

As to your own post today - I have commented there.  No reason to talk Ovid here.

For sure, Shane.  Amazing opportunities and no-one is really using it for real estate the way it can be used... its Google algorithms are what make it truly exceptional!

Juliet, the cost?  Sounds very good and like another level of exposure that is a certainty with technology, there's always another level to aspire to.  SO, the serious business people have to stay ahead of the curve.  Thanks for taking the time to do this.

Sounds great, but may I ask where do you find the time to squidoo, face book, twitter, active rain and linked in and etc. I have a solid marketing plan that only allows 4 hours a week on social networking sites. how much time do you dedicate to blogging and such?

Hi Benita - great question!  My answer is

" a little bit every day"!

4 hours might work for the "publishing content" piece of your overall online prescence.  Equally important is your ability to drop into the conversation and contribute.  For that you need only the fragments of time in between other things.  Like the commercials on tv.  Another way to think of it is "interstitial".  When I worked at Showtime Networks, they often talked about interstitial programmin:  If a movie ended early, they needed something short to put in to fill up to the next hour when another film would start.  Usually an interview or some content they had made themselves, ithey called it interstitial programming.  It's the same approach in online networking.  It's about quickly passing a thought that could help clients understand something.  Referencing a post, an article, a tool, that is part of your overall expertise and branding in your chosen field.  Connie Ragen Green uses Twitter as her transition.  She posts about what she's just done and references what she's about to do next.  Since her whole brand is all about helping others create content with articles and eBooks, you can imagine what she does is interesting to others.

Does that help?
